Description

Another racing season has passed and since we at the Giant Pixel Racing Team recently acquired our first sponsor in Mr. Dave Hale from Madvettemotorsports.com it was about time we gave our Chevrolet Corvette C5R a good overhaul.

The result is this beauty of a race car: the Official 2004 GPRT ADVAN Madvettemotorsports Chevrolet Corvette C5R.

My personal 'victory', if you will, was that I finally managed to get the actual ADVAN tires worked out, both in and out of the game. You should see this thing move, specially with those tires it's just one incredibly cool looking car ... if I do say so myself. ;)

I found this garage scene online some time ago and now that my 3DMax skills finally (read: slowly) are beginning to look like something I was able to make a nice complete setup with our Vette in there as well.

Personally I think it worked out nicely, apart from the odd staining on the floor, not sure how to call that, nor do I know how to fix it unfortunately.

So this is 'only' a virtual car? You race it in a game, with a team, and you post pictures of it here? I'm not much of a gamer, hence the questions. Pretty well done IMHO, my digital arts skills are of a wholly different level (and/or in another area, perhaps).
On a side note, I think the staining on the floor might even work for the best, giving the whole a less sterile feel. I'd actually consider greasing up and texturizing the whole scene (e.g., graining up the bricks of the wall?) to give it a more natural look! But that's just an opinion.
